Southern Oregon Beaches and the Northern California Redwoods,  May 29-June 7, 2018

The workshop is full.  Please contact Eliot for waiting list opportunities or future tours.

I’m happy to announce a workshop along the coast in southern Oregon and in the dramatic redwood forests of northern California. We would arrive on May 29 and depart on June 7, 2018.

In Oregon we will focus on three locations, Bandon Beach with its variety of sea stack shapes and sizes, Shore Acres with its otherworldly rock formations and beautiful gardens and Pistol River Beach, another “stacked” location. We’ll have two evenings on Bandon Beach, which should offer a good range of light, skies and water effects.

In California we’ll be in dramatic redwood forests including Redwood National Park and several of the state parks with large protected groves. We’ll hope for some coastal fog and perhaps the first rhododendron blooms to add even more to the redwood drama. And we’ll add a finale at the Golden Gate Bridge on our way home.

The workshop is designed for a group of 5-8 people. It is assumed that everyone will have a working knowledge of their camera and the ability to use Lightroom to organize and share their pictures. We’ll try to take some time to review our images for composition and look at the possibilities to edit some to best advantage. Laptops are encouraged for this part of the workshop.

The workshop fee is $3895 and includes all photography activities and hotels. Other expenses, not included in the workshop fee, would be for air transportation, shared car rental, meals (breakfasts are included except in San Francisco), park admissions, and other items of a personal nature.

Here are some of the sights we’ll see.
