Sicily, East to West September 20 – October 2, 2018

The workshop is full.  Please contact Eliot for waiting list opportunities or future tours.

Sicily is a fascinating part of Italy. There’s lots of history and scenic interest. We’ll visit Greek temples and theaters dating from the 5th century BC including those in Siracusa, Taormina and Segesta. We’ll explore historic cities and towns including Siracusa, Ragusa, Modica, Taormina, Cefalu, and Erice. Several are designated as UNESCO World Heritage sites. And we’ll experience the drama of Mt Etna as well as beautiful coastal vistas.

The tour is designed for 8-11 people, so it will be a small group. We will travel comfortably by bus, but Sicily is relatively small so most of the drives will not exceed 2.5 hours. Having 2 nights in our locations will give us time to appreciate each one and photograph them in varied light.

The cost of the workshop is $3895 based on double accommodations. The single supplement would be $280. The cost includes: all hotels (all 3 star or 4 star with ensuite baths), breakfasts, and bus transportation from the Catania airport to our drop off at the airport in Palermo. A list of hotels will be provided upon registration.  Additional costs include our international flights, travel insurance, meals, gratuities, anything of a personal nature and any individual transportation other than that with the group.
