As a part of our cruise we were able to stop at locations where coastal brown bears were catching salmon and enjoying the early summer sedge grasses. Sows with spring and yearling cubs came to the streams. Fascinating creatures who can squeeze out the salmon roe and filet a salmon as efficiently as the staff at my local fish market.
