In the summer of 2023 I had an opportunity to spend a week on the waters of Alaska’s Inside Passage cruising on a small boat with 6 other passengers. It was a marvelous experience which these images can only begin to capture. The scenery was magnificent, and the encounters with whales, eagles, and bears created wonderful opportunities for photography. Some of the images included here were made in the Juneau area from where the cruise departed. Thanks to Captain Ben and the crew of the Discovery, a beautifully restored and maintained wooden boat, for all the attention on board and to Ron Niebrugge for a well planned route.
