South of Anchorage is a body of water called the Turnagain Arm. It’s surrounded by mountains on three sides (other than towards Anchorage) and has a strong tidal flow.  Further south, in Seward, it’s possible to cruise the coastline of Resurrection Bay, observe marine mammals, and some of the glaciers that outlet into it. Fall is the rainy season as these photos bear witness. But even in the rain and fog there are wonderful possibilities. I’ve always admired the wonderful atmospheric scrolls painted by Chinese artists. Their example was in my mind as I captured and edited many of these files.
