Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon’s North Rim (along with Zion National Park) are relatively close to each other. Bryce is known for it’s formations of eroded sandstone called hoodoos and the large amphitheaters that frame them. The orange to reddish colors are quite vivid. And the sandstone can seem almost translucent in the right light. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is less visited than the South Rim, but quite dramatic as well. Several areas offer beautiful views ito the canyon.
