Grey Glacier in Torres del Paine is very accessible either by hike or boat. It’s beautful powder blue color stands out against the gray waters of Lago Grey. I’ve been fortunate to see many of the southern glaciers and this would be among the most beautiful. It is worth going to see no matter the light. While the height at it’s face is not as tall as some of the other southern glaciers, to see it’s depth and flow through the valley is very impressive. Sadly it is also in retreat as can be seen in some of the photos.
