My visits to Ilulissat have been timed for the period when either then sun doesn’t set or sets briefly and then rises again soon after. Sunset and sunrise merge together to provide and extended period of beautiful light and color. It’s an awesome time to be on the water among the icebergs. It’s also mighty cold, but the euphoria of these scenes creates a sense of warmth that transcends the frigid temps.
