The best known location for Namibian wildlife is Etosha, a large reserve in the north. There is a surprisingly diverse group of creatures given the desert character of the park. Elephants are particularly plentiful here. We were treated to large families coming to drink and bathe at one of the water holes. On a subsequent visit we were closer to the Skeleton Coast in the Hoanib Valley where there were also groups of elephants in a slightly more mountain setting. Their “greetings” were quite beautiful to observe. Throughout our travels there were wonderful opportunities with a wide range of mammals and birds.
